It didn't actually look exactly like this, I did a bit of messing around with it, but nothing has been added, only levels and exposure adjustments.

Still an excellent photo n1w. The deep blue sky and the rays below surrounded by the dark contrasting frame of clouds is great. Nice work.

Great photo the blue sky in the middle..and those rays are just perfect...what a great shot...

Love it...really... ;)

See ya from Sandy ;)

Marbiz on June 2, 2009

Hey n1w this is real cool. A little ray of sunshine? M.

Norrel on June 2, 2009

Good work, not1word! It's raining sunlight.

not1word on June 2, 2009

Thank you very much, Ben, Sandy, marbiz and Norrel. It was a pretty view out the diver's window, so I pulled over and took this, but the result just didn't seem as eye-popping as I remembered it looking, hence my manipulations.

someGuyinmasset on June 2, 2009

Wow! Yeah n1w, those rays rarely match in a photo what we see.

larry e walton on June 2, 2009

pretty much speechless up here ... nice work n1w. even this shot must have brought a smile to your face.

Bits-n-Pieces on June 2, 2009

wow! This is great, n1w! Can almost hear a voice booming from the heavens!

Yup: That sky is clogged with Coulds!

Wow!!! Excellent shot! The opening in the clouds kind of looks like an eye, with the puff of clouds in the middle as the pupil. And my, what big eyelashes you have. Very cool!

Hello, Guy. It can be most annoying to not be able to record exactly what we see, sometimes. Today, I took a uniformly sucky batch of shots in all sorts of settings and locations, so it's satisfying to be albe to pluck one like this out from time to time.

Thanks, Larry, and you're right about the smile.

Thanky, Bits. I was going to mention that I expected one of Terry Gilliam's animations to pop out at any moment with some sort of sound effect.

Indeed, bhumphreys!

Spence, you've been turning in a few pretty stunning ones yourself, too. Eye appreciate your review. ; )

Wow! what a sky! great shot Y*

not1word on June 3, 2009

Sorry about that, whoelius. I'll go back to posting mediocre shots from now on, to prevent further outbursts.

Thank you, W@Z. You're very kind!

Whoa dude! Super duper shot here! Worth a little extra adjusting, well done!

not1word on June 4, 2009

Hello, Zsuzsanna. Thank you for the visit and compliment. You have some very nice shots in your gallery.

Thank you very much, Nawitka. I was going to go with a less is more sort of exposure, but the more that I moved those sliders around, the more I liked how it was looking. Go nuts!
