Thanks, Alessandro, for your very kind comments on this and other photos. One remark though: being there 'at the right moment' is partly luck, of course, but it's also a matter of planning, that is: taking care to be at a beautiful spot just after sunrise or just before sunset when the light is at its best. This particular morning I woke up at 6:00 on a winter morning and walked 1,5 hour to get here at 8 o'clock at sunrise.

Theo, I never wrote about luck! I know how "planning exposures" is important in a landscape photographer's work, especially your work, which involves taking multiple exposures for stitching, HDR, and so on. More, I see you are often able to take very good pictures also with bad weather, so your photos are definitely not a matter of luck.

This is exactly what I like of your gallery. Absolutely different from snapshooting!
