Just when you don't expect it, up pops a little green man cutting and drying peat on the Irish moors: a real Leprecaun, indeed.
Though this is a National Park those who have maintained their historical right to peat continue to cut and dry through the summer, ready for burning in the winter.
He loved my interruption and we enjoyed a lengthy chat interspersed with humour.
OMG--he does look like a leprachaun! thanks for the story & the photo!
He not only looks like one Mary, he is one, you be shure, you be shure.
Thanks for responding and visiting my gallery.
There could only be one better response than yours, Mary, and that would be if the leprechaun's wife were to write the exact same message as your, having seen her husband on the www!! To be shure.
Tis a little bit of magic ya captured Ian!
It special to have a photographer of Wicklow recognize the magic here! Thanks so much, 2c.
Ian in Sydney.
This is just hilarious Ian...and I bet Hugh recognises him too..A real Leprechaun in a real peat bog for sure ;>)
Thanks for the link..best laugh today ;>)
Are you there, Hugh. Do you recognize him? Or do all leprechauns look alike?
Glad it tickles you fancy, Jim m'boy!
Hi Jim, Ian!!! Hope your well! This is what our government looks like!!!
O Hugh, then he is a wiley old politician, this one!
Maybe the French leaders have heard from him, or at least he might have said some unpleasant things about referees and their football team!
Warm regards to both you and Jim.
