What a nice and charming entry, including title.
Thanks for your hard work of programming. Your tools are working more and more efficiently.
Best regards from 4Ullas
it looks more like dad's wrong turn. Are you sure this was the right path for the kayak? Is that you?
Fine picture here Rob and a good contender for this contest. I repeat 4ullas's remark on thanking you for the Toolkit, of which I am an avid user. Your latest addition of 'page of smalls' is also very useful to get a quicker, better impression of all the pictures at once. Great stuff, carry on the good work. Cheers, Herb
Just in time, before the dark is coming :-)
Great "boat" photo with a nice scenery!
Nice shot with a lovely title!
I wish you good luck on the NPC!
Reni from Hungary
Rob what a true shot and one i think will do very well. steve
Hi 4ullas, Gil, Herb, Barbara, Reni and Steve, A new experience for me, a stream of comments on a new photo, from existing friends, familiar names, and new ones. Thank you all, and good luck with your entries, and just the fun of taking part.
The programming has been hard work but personally satisfying, and hearing that it is being used and well received is a very pleasing reward.
The original transparency from 1976 was titled "Dad Canoeing near Kate's". My sister was in Kirkcudbright then, I cannot identify the loch itself, so no GE mapping.
Gil, thank you for your humour, good word play. Sad to say, no more returns for my dad who died 05Dec91. Try googling "Don Stamp" archery which gave me some interesting reading, but avoid this link where I'm in flares on page 27.}
You have a special way of taking pictures... A way that I like!
Hi Sandy, And you have a lovely way with words, you are very kind. The voting check boxes will appear on the webpage of smalls, but please be patient for some hours after close of entries.
Hi Rob, I have changed my picture 39 NPC, Can you change it in your beautiful album! Thanks for the good job you make for Panoramio, Greetings from Italy, Elios
Hi Elios, I have just posted the latest update, now 159 entries, yours and any other edits will have been included. Your thanks are greatly appreciated, and I hope you find the addition of the check boxes for voting to your liking too.
You got really a nice shot... very good compose behind the bushes....
Hi Majid, Thank you very much, glad you like it.
Wonderful picture and great title!
Very well done!
Hi Eleni, Thank you very much, it did get a few votes in the NPC.
thanks for taking a look at the results of the spc5. Apparently I entered the votes for vivi78 completely wrong in my database.
That puzzles me, since I only copy and paste and the votes I entered were neither a smaller set of votes (which I could have been obtained by not selecting all the votes in her list), nor a copy of the votes from immediately before or after :-S.
I'll edit the results tomorrow.
Thanks a lot,
only saw your post in the npc results account today. I agree with your view and normally I wait till the official results are presented. This was just a case of me not thinking straight and getting ahead of myself.
I also agree that your machine has proved to be very robust in the vote counting and much better than myself, so I probably should stop counting the votes and let the computers do their work.
Can I ask you, however, to post the full results instead of only the top 10? I like to see where I stand in the competition and I'm sure that several other people feel the same.
If you like I can give away the "npc results" account for you to run it.
I take back the request "Can I ask you, however, to post the full results instead of only the top 10?". Your page is already very good the way it is with the "more" button. I had not seen it before.
Hi Gil, Glad you found the More button, I was worrying that it was a bit too subtle, so I will progress changing the text to More photos » as seen when viewing favourites, plus a help tip.
Thank you for the gracious offer, but I would like to see you remain in charge of your creation, partly to avoid extra work load, but mainly to see the voluntary support work spread out. As to the source of data for your spread sheet, my recent post in contest comment forum may be of interest. Maybe you can experiment with importing the example list, (sorry but tabs and extra spaces do not work in forum post, but it is fixed width). You might then use it as source data, or to confirm the counts from your own method.
