A Care Centre for Bougainvillean refugees was created on a ridge behind SIPL plantation, near Honiara, Solomon Islands during the period of the Bougainville war. The war was fought in Bougainville between PNG Defence Forces, Resistance and Bougainville Revolutionary Army (BRA). Pastor Henry Hayu (second from left) John Wesley (far right) met with me and my co-worker, David (centre) and the process of truth telling and advocacy began. This moment became significant and compelling and drew us into contributing to the ending of war, disarmament and communal healing in Bougainville.
