One would think that the warning lights and signs would inform overheight vehicles not to pass under this tunnel. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Nicknamed the "Guillotine," the bridge at Gregson and Peabody Streets in Durham, North Carolina has been the location of numerous accidents involving overheight trucks being crunched in the underpass. Wow, I just watched some of the videos from 11foot8.com. Pretty funny, but sort of sad too.

Nice one Foxx Trotter I hopped off the I95 in Virginia once to see the local solution.... a series of cow bells hung on a gantry just before their bridge with a sign that I still judge to be the epitome of concise Englis saying If you hit these, you'll hit the bridge

Thanks for introducing me to the website and the bridge.

All the best ol' buddy. Stay warm.
