I like google earth. Just for your information, your images must be approximately October 2004, 4 years old. The reason I know this, is because I lived here before and after hurricane ivan. I hate that hurricane, quite frankly. Witness the blue plastic roofs everywhere. I don't expect you to identify with this, but, nevertheless, I am requesting that you find some recent footage which does not force me to remember a time I would much rather forget, the sooner the better. I have moved on but your images have not. Please move on with me. Thanks. Durland PS I am referring to the following coordinates: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/2321791 Hope this helps you help me to forget. They said it was a category 3, but I have news for you: 175 mph sustained winds for two hours or more equals a category 5. And, unlike in New Orleans, we did not kill each other; instead we helped each other! We prepared meals for each other. Imagine that! As opposed to expecting McDonald's to be airlifted to them! OK, you get the idea.

According to timestamp on file, this picture was taken October 18th, 2005, over a year after Ivan hit. Only the blue roofs show damage from Ivan. I empathize with ya, but since I don't have a replacement, I'm going to leave it up for others (it's been viewed nearly 500 times).

And I agree with you whole heartedly on the recovery effort...Pensacola is an example of a city who can handle adversity and help one another...NOLA is the antithesis.

I lived in the apartment complex there in front of the condos. The ones with blue roofs were demolished before mine opened-in June 2007! Our property manager said a waterspout came up the bluffs just south of those condos.
I applaud you showing these pictures. We can't lie about the past, it only makes the future worse. Its only a matter of time, and i don't like suprises.
