At Garuda Wisnu Kencan Cultural Park, Bukit Peninsula, Bali, this 23M statue of the Hindu god Vishnu was keeping a close watch on the activities of a group of Korean tourists. The whole time I was there, Vishnu never took his eye off them!
Very interesting this statue Hindu! A wonderful photo, Ian! My greetings, Simona
Don't you like the way Vishnu has his eye on the tourists, Simona?
Thanks for your lovely responses to this set of images.
Anyway it is wonderful. Handsome Visnu is still thinking... :)
Greetings dear Füsun. I am sure Vishnu has charmed many a tourist, and it seems that these Korean tourists have attracted his attention too. I wonder what he thinks?
Giant head. Nice shot.
I am pleased that it caught your attention too, Jeff. Regards,
Again, thank you sincerely, Hans-Jürgen.
Greetings from Ian in Brisbane
This head of a sleepy God is very well made. I can only imagine how impressive it may be between forests, Olga
It is erected on the top of the hill, and originally it was planned by the developers to be much higher and to be riding on a "garuda", but there were strong objections for its height might have disturbed the balance of nature and of the spiritual world. So "Vishnu" is without a body and garuda is to the side without a rider!
Beautiful photo! Greetings from Manila. Do visit my gallery.
Thank you for your compliment, Libby. I am sure he is alive and watching what the girls were doing!
Thanks too for your invitation.
