Oh! my darkness, my love, my cold green mouldy slab, the heady fragrance of decay, blood congealing in my putrid veins, these poor innocent wretches, mere mortals await, unknowingly, for theirs is a certain fate, a fate worse than death-a living hell. Show me thy pretty neck!!

Now if I was who you think I am, do you think that I could write such garbage as this ;>))

Sam-now don't be frightened Sam, I was just feeling a little hungry ;>)

KONNY-Yes, this is my home ;>)

AnonymousKiwi Lisa, the locals are spreading nasty rumours, and it's all true ;>)

Gezginruh-it is a horror film and I am play the main character ;>)

AZRA-I hope that you are not superstitious ;>)

scml-tha bird is in fact a vampire ;>)

Ian- I may have a small part for you also ;>)

jopoloco Sabrá esta película y si tienes suerte puedes característica en él - DRACULA_

Beatriz- Do you feel a little uncomfortable my dear?

Simona- this the haunt of a distant cousin of yours, the Count Dracula

a3a35919 avert your gaze from the flaring and unholy light ;>)

Steve111- The beer keeps cool in the crypt, and I am dieing for a drink

Fai-your message was a little unclear ;>)

Paula- I save you to the last. I hope that your dreams will be pleasant and that you do not awaken feeling a little drained

A pleasant evening to you all D - -- er Jim

It reminds me of a scene from "Gone With The Wind"...the sky is ablaze, and the remaining structures black against the fiery orange flames. Very cool image, Jim. Nicely done!

Jim,

Did you really write that deep, thought provoking garbage above? Really? What inspired such? Wow! Quite a far cry from the innocent title that you gave to this shot, inspiring me to break out in song ........

". . . Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for the springing fresh from the word. . ."

Of course the song goes on, but it just somehow doesn't seem too fitting after the green mold and fragrance of decay. ;)

It's always a surprise when I visit, that's for certain.

Now, concerning the shot, which was the real reason that I came over:

It is profound! An absolutely splendid capture of this remarkable view. I still find it hard to believe that this is what you wake up to every morning. People don't normally have views like this right outside of their window. You are truly a lucky man, and a very talented one as well to capture such a moment so beautifully.

Congratulations on this outstanding shot.

Try to keep your head out of the gutter for just a little bit. Think pleasant thoughts if it's possible. =)

Always a fan,

Mary Alice

Dear Mary Alice, It is so good to see you once more!!

I immediately thought of the title after waking up to this glorious scene ;>))

That title contradicts the gruesome alter ego from my sinister side !!

There are dark forces at play here MA, in the form of Paulak, steve111 aided and abetted by steve drury. They are often pulling my leg every time I post a picture of this Abbey.

The Abbey features in Bram Stokers horror novel-Count Dracula

The inference is, because of my many early morning postings, that I am the Count Dracula re-incarnated. Its just that I could not resist the spoof, hence all the strange comments. ;>))

Hope all is now understood MaryAlice.

Many thanks for all your lovely comments ;>)

Now it is time to return to the crypt ;>)
