This amazing sight met my eyes at dawn way back in 2009..What I captured here has eventually become my most viewed photo..I was privileged and proud to witness this with my own eyes..How fortunate to have seen it through the lens of my camera..

Hi Jim,

Let me wish you and your family a Happy New Year, then I can praise this very colourful picture! You have caught this just brilliantly, and including that bird really makes it special. I have visited Whitby many times, the last being this september, and it is a great place. You are so lucky to be treated to views like this!

Best Wishes Peter

GasGas~~~Hiya Lex, sorry for missing your comment pal! The timing coincided with an early start for a sea fishing trip..You've gotta be up early to catch the big ones!

Christos Theodorou~~~apologies to you too Christos, I'm always late--it's a bad habit!! I'm most thankful for your kind appreciation!

Peterprivatebox~~~Hello and a big welcome Peter :) It's nice to give these old shots a bit of an airing..

This Abbey shot used to be one of my most visited and popular photos but it does not compare with the latest HDR efforts now in vogue!

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to my home-town Peter and yes!! I consider myself fortunate in living adjacent to the sea and moors, it's a great place. Thanks for your fulsome praise and seasonal wishes!

Kind regards to you all

Jim
