Hi Don, Yes, it is the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 usm. I really like it and it is supposed to be able to be used for your regular lens also, not really though. It is fun to use but a little hard to focus and it works best -- for people that don't know what in the heck they are doing -- if you are able to use a tripod. I think you could do wonderful stuff, Don. It would open up a whole new world of things for you to photograph because you are into work that isn't the ordinary photos anyway. You should get it. I just might have to! I have always been a big fan of macro photography, I just have a problem with researching purchases for years before making a move on it.

Hi Dr. Nguyen. I have a husband that researches everything to death. I, on the other hand decide I want something and go to the internet and let my fingers do the buying. You may think I am joking, but... The other day I saw a infrared filter photo and though I want to do that too and went to and my Hoya Infrared (R72) 58mm filter arrived yesterday, Just as easy as that. I do end up with some strange purchases but Life is way too short. I have a philosophy that says,"If you don't like it, send it back".

By the way, did you enlarge the little guy. You can see his eyes, all of them and his hairy little legs. ~~West Coast Sharon~~

A new Infrared filter? You're gonna have some fun now Sharon. I've done some playing around with IR and have had a blast. I look forward to seeing what gems you capture. :)

Good evening to the Godfather. I bow before you. Thanks for commenting and for showing me your great infrared photos. I only hope something turns out a quarter a good. I shall leave some glowing comments a little later. I do have a question about infrared -- Does it have to be a bright a sunny day for the best results or does any light work???? Here I go again with the questions. Do you feel your brain being sucked dry. Sharon
