Yes you can Robert. Just got in from loooong post-Thanksgiving drive. Need a Brown Ale right about now.

Lets get back in touch later in the week and work out the biggest I have.

Wow! Coal trucks on the staithes! This view has changed so much - Dunston and Stella power stations have gone as have all the tall chimneys and cooling towers. On the North bank in this photo you can see the beginning of the end for the heavy industry. All that is left now is Vickers at Scotswood. This is a photo that evokes many memories Jethro.

robertmpster I have uploaded a higher resolution scan of this old slide for you here

Please click on it and make it as large as you can in your browser before right clicking and saying save as. I will take it away in a week or so as it is so large, so act fast.

Enjoy it but please don't use it for any other purpose than hanging on your wall.

Keith what good eyes you have. I hadn't noticed the staithes or the trucks thereon until you pointed it out. I worked out where it was from Google Earth and 'her indoors' who's memory is better than mine. But I certainly got no help from any of the building coz there not there no more!

Stay warm.

Greetings from o'er 'ere.
