AlexMatos description for different colours it's aligned with the legend: one side of the lagoon there was a princess and opposite side a prince. By the "forbidden love" between them, those lagoons were fill up with tears from them (blue from one and green from the other).

It's really beautifull the "sete cidades" double lagoon seein from "vista de Rei" that means "King's view point".
On the right days, sunny days, which is very difficult to get there, you can see one lagoon blue and the other green.
It's amazing...
Have to look for my odler ones in paper and upload it.
