Not very different from a walk in the Australian desert in winter, I reckon. Seriously though, I do enjoy close scrutiny of such glacial landscapes, Amelia, especially as they come from an artistic and competent photogrpaher!

Thank you John, and I'm so pleased that you like Norway. I do too, although it is not my homeland :)
Greetings to Holland, Amelia

Good morning Benni, the scenery is amazing, but the walk is difficult and I didn't manage to reach the top of Bynuten. I think we need to try again in better weather next time. If you ever come over to Norway we'll take you there - no cars here though my German pot :)
Greetings, Amelia

Hello Ian, I enjoyed your comparison here, Australia's winter and Norway's summer! This photo showing the glaciated slopes of Bynuten is so typical. The slopes are predominately covered in birch as you can see, with heathers, and bilberry too. There are marshy areas as well, so there is much to see for the both the botanist and the geographer :)
Greetings, Amelia
