How beautiful. I'm really enjoying the rough waters. It looks like a blustery day. How exciting. I think the dark tones are most pleasing in a shot like this. They make the red boat really POP!

As I just mentioned in a comment I made on my rosebud picture, I'm sometimes frustrated by the limitations of my compact ultra-zoom camera. Very often as I zoom in, I don't get the image quality I'd like. But sometimes, as in this picture, its limitations make for a rather nice, almost painting-like effect. So I'm glad you like this.

That's a great shot that shows the start of a journey. I tried this type of shot once but wasn't pleased with the result from my old 2 X Zoom Kodak DX3900.
I am also starting to get a little frustrated with my newer Kodak Ultrazoom but I don't think the DSLR development has stabilised yet, so I am playing with some 35mm film SLRs.
