Skyline of Bangkok. Heel mooi plaatje Frank!

Bert Kaufmann on June 20, 2009

Frank Knaap on June 20, 2009

Tonia, prachtig he, die lucht.

Very good shot Frank. In 2004, I remember flying into Bangkok from Zurich and just as we got there, there was this huge thunderstorm and we couldn't land so we circled for 15 minutes and when we did land it poured with rain again. Then another delay of 30 minutes before we took off and for flight down to Singapore. When we arrived in Singapore, I had 8 minutes to board my next flight.I made sure I was first off plane and fortunately there was someone holding up some thing with my name on it as they were waiting for me for next flight down to Perth. As soon as I got on the flight, they called for one other passenger, they didn't appear and they closed to door and we took off.I remember see all this water everywhere when we took off. I never seen so much water as there was there that day.Must rain a lot there I think.Anyway, Thanks again for sharing your photo.Kind Regards,David

Prachtige compositie. Nou, ik vind hem gewoon mooi. Klaar.

Daag, Christien.

Frank Knaap on June 20, 2009

Great story David, very stressful too. IF it rains here......WOW!

Frank Knaap on June 20, 2009

M.Kranenborg-Torn on June 20, 2009

Frank Knaap on June 20, 2009

Frank, I really want to get away from this crazy city. It is too congested and polluted for me now. Doctors also recommend me to go out to either the wood or countryside every weekend to relieve my skin allergy.

Frank Knaap on June 22, 2009

In Dutch I called it also "a crazy" city Worapong, for me 3 days there is the maximum! Sometimes you wrote something about Thailand many times you were right, but other times so wrong and maybe typical Bangkok style, because life here in Phitchit and surrounding is so peaceful, fot instance I even don 't have a lock on my house. And the roads are empty....:-)

So if you can, get out of there!

ƤōƝƓ on June 22, 2009

555+ Alright, Frank. It's a typical Bangkokian mindset, you know. I know why 3 days here are enough for you. You would have noticed that I very rarely share pictures of BKK. If I forgot to lock my house in BKK while away, rest-assured I will see an empty house upon my return. :)

Frank Knaap on June 22, 2009

555 That lock-problem I had in Amsterdam too, fact in all of Europe Worapong, but here in the countryside it is so relaxed, even in the bigger cities like Phitsanulok. At the big market there I often drink a coffee and observe. Some motorbikes are full packed with shopping stuff, while the owner goes on with shopping, helmet on the bike and nothing happens........never! Also pick-ups with stuff.....like me. This was new for me......:-)
