This is Gull Island, a wildlife sanctuary off the coast of Waterford, Ireland. Visible from Ballyvooney Cove.
This is also where the 1252 ton Spanish steamer Cirilo Amoros sank in 1926. All crew members survived, thanks to the hospitality and cups of tea provided by the local people of Ballyvooney, the crew returned to Spain shortly afterwards.
During a Spring tide, you can still view the remains of the Cirilo Amoros.
