Hi Bob

I am about to upload one of our two walks that started near this bridge. I never did take a shot of it, and so I have linked to your picture.

It may be of interest to see the inscription on the High Bridge that has links with the more well known Sir Oswald Moseley.

Regards, Peter

Hi Pedrocut - I wondered where you'd got to, lately...

It's a difficult bridge to photograph because the new one is so close to it!

I'd never read the plaque, and I was unaware of the Moseley link... `i find these things fascinating; there's an interesting inscription on Chetwynd's Bridge over the Tame at Whitemoor Haye near Alrewas, too.

Interesting bridges of Staffordshire would make an interesting photo series...

Best wishes

Bob

Hi Bob

Your idea of a Staffordshire Bridge tag seems a good idea, but having looked through about 240 photos that I have uploaded for the County, I can only find one that is not a canal bridge.

I have been missing something!

Best Wishes Peter

Hi Pedro...

Off the top of my head, there's at least...

This bridge at Armintage

The Wolseley Bridge and the cobbly one just outside Haywood

The canal aqueduct with the pillbox at Tamworth

Chetwynd bridge at Whitemoor Hay

The ramshackle bridge at Walton (might be Derbyshire!)

Elford Bridge

The Ferrybridge at Burton

Ellastone's border bridge

The one on the A515 near Sudbury

The Trent bridges (old & new) between Yoxall & King's Bromley Some, at least, can be found rooting through here
