I love all three of the butterfly pics.
A spectacular macro Ian, every anther on its filament emerging from the white perianth is so clear, as is the beautiful butterfly. I would have loved to have gone walking in the Balinese garden :)
Hallo Ian What an amazing macro. Greetings from Greetje.
Seppe, Theolfa, Hans-Jürgen, Mira, Amelia, Craig, Greetje:
Thanks for the visit, again Seppe. Greetings.
And, Theolfa, & Hans-Jürgen, I have to admit that it is because of my Panoramio friends that I enjoyed photographing these butterflies.
And Mira, I am glad that Craig has provided us with the Crinum identity. It was but a large white lily as far as I was concerned. I am pleased that you have enjoyed your virtual walk in the Balinese gardens with me.
Thanks Amelia for your chats (I enjoy your running conversations with our friends) especially when you reveal your wonderful scientific knowledge, repartee, imagination and artistic ability.
Craig, You certainly add a great deal to Panoramio especially though your botanical knowledge and camera work. Thanks again, from me.
I am pleased you appreciate it Greetje, and that it is as sharp, for I did not have a tripod, and after all, butterflies do not cooperate with tripods!
Warmest regards to all,
Ian (in Tonga)
I like this shot!! Very beautiful composition!
Greetings from Greece Eleni.
Thanks for your lovely compliments, Eleni. Warm greetings from the South Pacific - I am in Tonga for 5 months!
Without a doubt - a perfect picture, dear Yan! What aeriality and elegance we can see in this image!
Best wishes. Eva
I always appreciate your visits and your gratitude. Thanks for acknowledging Craig, too.
Greetings from Bali, Brisbane and Tonga - or wherever I am!
Dear Eva, Your appreciation of this image is special. I know how much you love creating macros studies in your summer garden, so I am pleased that this one receives such high affirmation.
My warmest regards, from Tonga.
What a lovely capture Ian - a butterfly in the Spider Lilies. I love it.
Congrats!! You were very quick to capture a fleeting moment. It looks like such a beautiful area.
Warmest wishes, Hazel
Thanks Hazel. Bali is beautiful. This fellow was more patient with me than I expected. I am pleased to have you back from the emerald island.
Interesting shot with the different lines of colour. R
