Nice Photo Bruce! Glad to see some new postings!

Thanks Milo. If you have not been on this trail I recommend it. It is a very nice trail to the falls. Trailhead is not marked but is just across the BRP from the 'Slacks' Overlook which is just beyond the Twenty Minute Cliff Overlook. Hope you are having a nice summer.

Thanks Marilyn and Kyle for the visit and the kind words. For such a short trail (.77 mile to the falls) it offered so much! vistas like this one, massive rock faces, wonderful rhododendron groves and a delightful waterfall at the end. It does not get any better than that around here. All the best to you both. Hope you are having a great summer.

Thanks Tom. Wife and I have moved to Waynesboro in January. Got a great deal on a place but have had to do a little fixing up. It has kept us pretty busy, but we see the light at the end of the tunnel! We are doing well. Have a great 4th!

What a great photo Bruce! This is a perfect place to drink cold beer with friends :-)

Except that you are probably not going to want to lug it down the trail to this spot! Thanks for the visit Rafal!

All these White Rock photos are beautiful and make me want to go there. We vacationed in New England and have decided that the only thing they have there (that we dont' have) is the ocean. It was lovely, but there is no place like home!
Yank in Dixie, on July 9, said:
Thanks Kathy. New England will always hold a place in my heart because it is where I am from, however you are right in many ways. I love it here it is so beautiful. I would add that in addition to the ocean, we also have a lack of lakes as well. I do miss the northern lakes especially in summer when the loons are calling!! Thanks for the visit.

I was hoping to encounter some loons while we were there, but it was such a short trip with so much to see. Maybe some day!

Hi Bruce, very nice to see new posts from VA - especially your ones from the BRP-Area.
Every time when hinking in the Pfälzer wald i recall the days over there....

Thanks for the visit Mike. It is hard to believe that I have known about this place for years and only recently made it down there. It was a relatively short hike but a very nice trail and the falls were very scenic. I imagine that there is not very much water in them now in the middle of summer. Greetings from the States. Bruce

Very nice shot Bruce! Compare with my shot from last March here. What a difference the seasons make! I like how lush it looks in yours.
Yank in Dixie, on August 11, said:
Thanks Brandon. It is nice hearing from you. As I have mentioned above, I knew about this trail for some time but never made it down. Your pictures of the area was an incentive to check it out for myself. I am so glad I did! For a short trail it has so much and is beautiful. White Rock falls is so much nicer than I had imagined. Hope things are going well with you up in MD. I'll bet you miss western Albemarle from time to time eh? Maybe after you make a couple million you can come back and buy one of these old estates....then I can tell everyone I know the guy who lives there ;-))!
All the best, Bruce
