Thank you, Janina, FWWS, Michael, Christian, blais, Tony, and Keith. I think this is one of the rare photos when the limitations of my ultra-zoom compact camera turn into an advantage. Zooming in across the river, it made the distant surfaces sort of "flat" here, and in this case, I think that works! I'm glad you like the result.

Some years ago, the boathouse was to be torn down. Instead, some enterprising people restored it, and it is now a very pleasant tea room and ice cream shop!
