Though it is of 19th century design, the bridge was built in 1992 when a group of timberframers visited Guelph for a five-day convention! The office building is a number of years older than that.

Well, that was a pretty neat little test/lesson, Marilyn. Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed the unexpected, N1W!

What a surprise, Marilyn! I would have expected the covered bridge to be much older than the office building. But aside from the test it's also a wonderful picture! Greetings, Anne

Thank you, Anne. I'm sure many visitors to the city make that same common-sense assumption! Greetings, Marilyn

I would say the "office building" is more likely a apartment building. they have decks and bikes on the decks. Some of these new covered bridges have the design of the old ones, yet have been made in the last ten year. I know of three bridges up here that were all made in the last ten years.

Yes, JB, it's clearly not the building I was assuming it was without taking a closer look! Thanks, too, for the "covered bridges" invitation. I hope it's okay if I add this newer one, too.

yes, please add this and any other pictures you have of covered bridges to the group.
