Thanks Mary Alice for your interest. I'm feeling pretty ok now and did seek some professional help. I'm happy to have some very close and dear friends who helped me through the 'worst' time. I would not have known what to do without them.
I came back from lost, which was indeed no fun to be at. The light is my guide and my camera will capture it..
Your kind compliments make me blush.
Best wishes, Erik
I dropped in from another gallery to read your poem. It is a reflective and gripping tale, I do hope that you have found reason and light again. Whatever we suffer with or from in our lives, their is always happiness to counteract the sadness, like night turns into day, but sometimes the day is not to sunny, maybe cold..that is when one looks toward the day when sun does shine, birds sing and people smile. I hope you will reply, feel free to talk with an understanding stranger, I can offer tea or coffee too!
Mike your wonderful reaction gives me such a warm and good feeling.
I sure found reason and light again. Sometimes the disappointments in life just get the better of you. I consider myself to be a lucky man to be able to rely and be helped by friends. I think that is what friends are 4.
They share with you the fun and good times but should be there too at moments when things turn grey. I can really say they pulled me out a big black hole. I'm so grateful 4 that.
I know life hasn't been easy on you and you had a lot to cope with too. Hope your doing fine btw. how's your book?
Will visit your collection l8er, need to go to work right now.
Best regards, Erik
I'm fine thanks, dealing with weeBOOK is a struggle, but I have my eye on the target and that makes the journey worthwhile!
It's good to hear you are over the difficulties too, keep on going forward, tyhe light is there somewhere!, have a laugh at my gallery, but lookout for the gems too.
You are welcome to call again when you have more time, the kettle is always on and you can have a generous coffee, tea and biscuits, but not in the same mug!
Take care, chins up!
Mike such a great comment must make me laugh so your helping already!!
I can imagine the book isn't easy to do, I know a bit about it.Especially when you have to rely on publishers. Keep up the good work!
Your coffee invitation is a wonderful idea I just might do that ...some day, when my ship with money comes in.
I'm off to your gemstones.
I have no gemstones, nor diamonds or pearls,
I have nothing that would attract the 'girls',
all I have is what I love, sense of humour, family, freinds, happiness and satisfaction with what I have.
I do have lots of stones though, that I collected when I could walk and ramble around this isle, from the top of Scotland to the city of York
I could not continue further South, that is saved for my next life!
As faras coffee is concerned, I always have the kettle on, everyone is welcome here!
Goodnight my new friend whom I know little about!
Mike your kindness and beautiful words make the shivers roll down my spine! Your a rough diamond yourself, anyone with just a bit of knowledge can see that.
Your sense of humor is so welcome and is a gift 4 sure.
I would really love to visit you and your beautiful country.
I like my coffee black, no sugar.
Have a dreamy night my friend,
Really, Erik you should not make that much fuss, mate!
I saw a brother human who needed a hand up, I put out my hand and helped him stand again, that is all!
You must be your own person, live your own life.
As for visiting UK, next year may be less rainy!(fingers crossed!), I'm sure a boat from Imuden, or a plane from your local airport would get you here, bring a friend to make the trip worthwhile, there is a lot to see and do, think about it!
In my days of travel being simpler, I went to EEnkhuizen for a week on a painting holiday, the only time I have been to Metherlands, but I have been lots of European and Middle Eastern places, Ireland, Scotland, never once did I regret the change of view, it was good for a change!
So you have a good weekend, mate
Erik, I am so glad you are back on Panoramio! I missed you and was worried about you. It takes a fearless heart to open up and tell everybody about unhappy times... Your poetry is as touching as your photographs. Best Wishes to you, Maria
