Contemporary Art and Cheeseburgers? Don't go well together ;)
An interesting one, looks like you are taking on the night photography. Well Done. Dianne
Thanks Marbiz and Dianne - this is actually such a perfect pairing of billboards, I marvel at it every time I see it, and it jumped out so much more at night that I couldn't resist.
Shepard Fairey is the creator of the Obama poster that was everywhere during the campaign. Thing is, he copped someone's photo to use for that image (it was an Associated Press photographer's photo.) But he also does other graphic work based on photos by others, and encourages his followers to plaster the posters everywhere - so empty walls and columns all over the place are plastered with his graffiti. The McD's ad below his seemed oohhh sooo perfect.
Not to mention the fact that when some other artist uses a one off of one of Mr. Fairey's ideas, he comes down from on high with restraining lawsuits and cries of diminution of his own product. Nice job catching the fine juxtaposition here, Bits. Mr. Fairey's beefy cheesy glory may begin to fade...
If only the burgers really looked that good. :(
