Old and new at the farm

A wonderfully rich and colorful capture, Marilyn! I love the contrast of the subjects( new & old) and the many beautiful colors involved. The sky is splendid as well, and that tower is really catching my eye!

Somehow I lost track of your comment, Mary Alice, but belated thanks for your nice words. I took a couple other shots, but I like this one best because of the new & old contrast, so I'm glad you like that, too.

The silo is built of rock-faced concrete bricks, which is very unusual. The wooden extension on top it is even more unusual, so Hugh was easily persuaded to turn around and drive back so I could take a picture after I'd spotted it just as we drove past.

A week from today we'll be heading back to Atlanta for seven more days of research. We haven't decided where we'll explore on our one weekend there, but we'll certainly want to get out of the city--perhaps to a higher and cooler elevation!
