Absolutely outstanding! How long was the shutter open for?
Thank you so much, Alan. It was the best of a series of pictures I took of this motif. I put the camera on a rounded hand rail, started the self timer and waited while holding the cam. The shutter speed was 1/8 seconds but I also increased the saturation and the contrast. Fortunately, the sky was also red coloured. The EXIF data is included in the image.
Do not wonder at the time stamp, I forgot to change the clock when I travelled to NYC. So it was after midnight in Germany when I released the shutter :-)
Wow! Fantastic picture! This has to be a really great moment!
Thank you, Kojak! Yes, it was an incredible moment and I am lucky to been there right in time. I am happy that I did not edit anything but some settings in my non-dslr camera.
Nominated for the Panoramio Elections,
Thanks for the nomination, Alan. It is a pleasant suprise. Never dreamed of it. Good luck for your nominated photographs. I like especially your vertigo one. Axel
Great colors in this photo! This photo must be taken in the springtime, as that's usually when you get such vivid colors in New York at sunset. Greetings from Rome, Luka
Thanks for your comment, Luka. You are right, this photo was taken in March 2006 on the way to the Knicks match. Greetings from Hamburg, Axel.
