What a great Macro. How did you ever get this close. Greetings from the US. Margot

Hi Margo, he was sat on the rocks by the sea and let me get within a couple of yards of him. I think he may have been tired ;-) Thanks for your kind comments... and greetings from the English Lake District! Kind regards, Nigel

Nigel (or can I call you grumpy for short?) Yours was one of the first galleries I looked at when I came to Pan, first because of the name, then because I really like your gallery. I have been watching for some more stuff. I have you on my favorite list. Margot

That's really kind of you Margot - of course you can call me grumpy, it's the name my charming and witty wife gave me one day when we weren't talking to one another ;-)

Bravo, Grumpy! He has such character, looks as though all the cares of the world are resting on his beak...really makes me quite sad for him.

Beautiful detail and the way the blurred background follows the general shape of his head is a wonderful final touch.

Really lovely shot!

Very best wishes,

Sue
