So, is burning a boat what passes for fireworks in Boston nowadays? Or are the fireworks when the owner shows up to watch the show and figures out it's his boat?

It's still a pretty cool shot, either way.

Cool picture, kamaly! It mirrors in the water like one of Guy's sunsets.

Thanks n1w, Guy, Norrel, MnLsDad, and marbiz ! lol, yeah, I bet a lot could be gotten rid of in these bonfires (check out Bit's close-up of it full sized. it's HUGE) but it's the fitting ending of the Fireman's Parade. When I've watched it before it's been from a house behind the tree in the shot. It was great to sit and take in the whole scene from this wharf across the cove.

Thanks sugarbag1 !

And Guy and norrel usually the the sun manages to get over the horizon and keep going to Salt Lake City, Vancouver, and Masset. But this night it hit the west a little short and landed in the harbor. Wow was there ever a sizzle!

Thanks oronbb and Cal! It was chance I ended up watching from across the harbor instead being up close to the fire - but I was sure happier with this location.

LOL, Thanks steve, though with the way the weather's been here this summer, these were the scraps from the arcs being built by just about everyone. so not much danger in sparks starting something...

and n1w, you were out enjoying the resultant darkness pursuing timeless neon - no need for reading fleeting headlines!

HI Ippa - Thanks! Its a bonfire on a beach across the harbor from me - a little late for the Solstice bonfire like you had there in Nurmes, but very nice to watch!

And thanks very much for that Sandy! Cheers to you.
