As I picked my way out onto the edge of the scree to capture this view towards Grays Peak from Evans Peak, I was stunned by the arrival of white mountian goats - a mother and young who did not even bother to check on the stability of such scree. Their sure-footedness and wonderful surprise distracted any attention I was giving to geomorphology and landscape. It was the wildlife that peaked my day!
