In 1941, however, two-lane Hwy 40 passing right behind this parking lot was the main road from Reno to San Francisco.

The dark line crossing the mountains toward Donner Pass are the snow sheds of the Union Pacific Railroad.

WomanX (one of my father's previous wives) seems to be a photographer too.
