Lonesome Little Light. The Cockspur Island Lighthouse at the end of a trail behind Fort Pulaski next to Tybee Island Ga. The trail will take you to within 50 feet of the lighthouse and it is open to the public provided one wants to take a small swim or paddle a canoe from the mainland.

Thanks for stopping by Hank. Safety is a key word at this lighthouse. Go 45 minutes prior to low tide to give yourself plenty of time to get across and return before the tide changes. This property is not as innocent as it looks. Wear heavy shoes as the oyster shells will cut you to pieces and no not fall as the shells will also to grave damage to your hands or any other body parts they come in contact with. Best bet is to rent a canoe or small craft at the marina on the other side of the bridge. They will also take you there for a fee. Pictures can be decieving. Good luck. I love your gallery.
