Thanks, Maxine, for the link and the photo. The hilly nature of the campus gives the context for an anecdote my mother told. It was very hot at Commencement, so she and her best friend decided not to wear dresses under their gowns--only their theislips. Thus they kept more comfortable as they traipsed the hilly terrain from their dorm to where the ceremony was held. All was well until the end of the proceedings, when it was announced, "Now will all the graduates go into [some nearby] room to turn in your gowns"! Of course my mother and Margaret had to go up and down hill again--and back--before they could do that! Marilyn
What a great story! LOL Thanks. Maxine
