Was that a politically motivated comment there kamaly, it sure made me smile!

A very pretty picture, kamaly!

LOL, Jim - no, not politically motivated. Just that the only tall ship in the night photo that was selected for GE was this Portuguese barque.

And I'm rather late with my replies, but Thanks very much Vladimir Shelyapin and Bert Kaufmann! Greetings to you both.

Nice night photo of the tall ship. The tall ships gather each year in the Baltic Sea, in Tall Ship's Race, and they are very nice to see. Finland (Åland) has a tradition in tall ships, they were still used for commercial purpose on Australian trips in the 30's (my late father-in-law sailed on those). Greetings from Sweden, Mats.

Thanks very much Mats! That must be great to watch the races every year! We only get visits by many ships every few years, and because of the crowds that come to see them, they don't even allow a parade of sail anymore. I'd love to see the races!

You'd want a bright sunny day for the races kamalyn as the Bluenose II would be going so fast you'd have to use a very high shutter speed to get a decent picture of her.

LOLOL Guy! But I'll admit that she probably would be able to out-maneuver the bigger ships over short distances.

:D Thanks Dianne!
