Now that assertion is sure to start a fight Kenny ! Stockton is really a car-friendly place by the looks of it, unlike the rest of the UK. Why is that?

I know a few places claim this - mine is base upon THIS

Stockton gets involved in another argument relating to the birthplace of the railways. Darlington claim they were the birthplace but Stockton are keen to point out the phrase Stockton to Darlington Railway indicates Stockton as the starting place!
