Good advice.

In The Netherlands you are allowed to wear clogs as safety shoes. I've told you that before, and it's no joke.

Yes sirree it is, n1w! this must have been a pretty cool sign back in the day. The background of the sign is a view of the dry dock and harbor, and the guy is raised up on wooden gears - so I wonder if he'd dance up and down in pain.

And Norrel - you even showed us a cool photo of them in use working on the railroad! (along with a shot of them protecting your feet from wayward beer bottles, too;) ) LOL, if we were allowed wooden safety shoes here, the sign could say 'It shouldn't happen to your dogs - wear your clogs! ' ('Dog' is an old idiom for foot.) I get by on job sites wearing hiking boots - wooden shoes would be a good alternate - I don't like shoes that have to be laced, lol. (how lazy can I get?)
