According to an architect-blogger, this building was Gockel Groceries in 1933 (the building itself dates from 1924). Joseph Garavaglia turned it into a liquor store in 1942 and his daughter Julia took over in 1947, turning it into the Hill Top Inn in 1968. In addition, it's a museum of old Budweiser signage, including the painted sign on the left with the 1960s-era slogan "That Bud, That's Beer."
