The train is 'ASO1962' - A rapid express for Aso sightseeing. (Aso is the most largest caldera volcano in the World.) Running on JR Houhi line (Houhi line:From Kumamoto to Aso, Miyaji and Oita, but the train runs for until Miyaji.) mostly Saturday and Sunday. The original passenger car was born in 1962 for local liner. In 2006, the train was modified for the sightseeing express by JR Kyushu Railway Co.,Ltd. And ASO1962 will carry enough bycycle on the rear section. Also it has a bar counter!! The photo was taken at JR Haramizu station. But you doesn't to ride the train from this station. The photo train is an up train (Return to Kumamoto sta.) waiting for change signal... (JR:Japan Railway)
