Here's a pretty little bright eyed bird if even I saw one Suzi - will he be going to your new place as well? I hope so :))

He is here again for the third Autumn, Amelia. Several of them go farther north and we don't see them during the summer. I just had a squeaky chat with him about the move. I'll stick the feeder out the window of the van and squeak out Follow me as we drive away. We pays an' gets the keys tomorrow morn - oh, joy!!

Hi Suzi!

Unfortunately, Hungary has not seen such a beautiful bird!

I am a bit envious. :)))

Many thanks, Björn and Michael - these lovely tiny birds spend the Autumn and Winter here, then venture North in the Spring. I make sure they always have fresh food. Glad you like him (O:

Hi Suzi. Thank you for visiting my gallery and the nice comments.I appreciate this very much.It must be very nice to sit in the garden and have hummingbirds flying around. I find them so fascinating (o:> Regards Stephan `ll stop by again soon....bye

The hummers are a very special daily treat, Stephan - I am sad that Europe is devoid of these joyous little birds. We get two varieties here - the Rufous (which come north around March 1 each year, then head south late August {gone for two weeks now this year}) and the Anna's (some of these stay year round here on the coast). Last evening, PBS Nature re-aired a wonderful documentary on hummers. Here are lots more hummingbird images. Glad for your visit - bye for now (O:
