Thanks Nick. The film was the original Get Carter in which he ran along here, towards the camera, and then jumped over the railings. A mere mortal like me would have died because the drop is about 30ft.

The repetition in the arches and the lovely curve made it an obvious shot and I am very happy with it, blais. Thanks.

Great perspective and contrast, Keith, and nice snippet of info on Michael Caine. Theolfa

Thanks, Theolfa. I was trying out a new, old lens and this was one of the few successful shots.

Regards, Keith.

Sounds like you use a non-digital camera, Keith? I still don't know how to use my digitals properly :D Theolfa

I have a mixture of film and digital cameras, Theolfa. Digital cameras rekindled my interest in photography, but I love the manual input necessary with my old film cameras.

Well I was one of the "Not a lot of people know that" brigade Keith. This is a very nice shot, great perspective and light and shadow on the curves. Wonderful stuff, particularly using "old technology" :))

Cheers, Amelia

Thanks, Amelia. Yes, it is 70's technology, which is great 'cos it reminds me of my early teens, plus the camera and lens would have been brand new when "Get Carter" was released.

Regards, Keith

Just curious if you've had a go at a B&W version.

My cropped and converted version of your shot now deleted.

This is my take, inspired by your conversion David:

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
