Shot on Pan-X film and scanned from an 8x10" print.
Nice mono work, a good sense of scale from the people.
Thanks Matthew - it's actually a 30 year old shot (Pan-X ASA 25 film!) but I just recently scanned the 8x10 print to get it online. I didn't want the person in the shot initially but they didn't leave so I shot it with him in it and now I'm very glad I did!
Thanks Bruce, this is one of my favorite images that I've ever taken and the 3ft by 4ft poster looks amazing :)
I love this picture! The contrast and the exposure is perfect, you did a great job. And I really like how you took the picture with the person in it. It adds a lot to this picture. Everything just seams calm and amazing. Keep up the good work. – Jed Fackrell
Ironically I waited a long time for that person to leave before finally taking the pic with him in it - now I'm glad I did! It gives the image a sense of scale and also sets a tone, you can almost imagine what he's thinking just enjoying the peace and serenity while listening to the waterfall.
If you've never been there Yosemite is AMAZING!
Everything's been said, I think- great picture:-) I'll only add best of...
Thanks for your comments Gudrun and steve_tignor!
Greetings from San Diego California,
Amazing! Perfect b&w, great job.
Hi Bill, Browsing your gallery and this shot really grabbed my attention. Great shot - works very well in B&W, great scale, composition and mood.
Thanks for your comment Phil. This is one of my all time favorite shots that I've done and I'm just happy the scan of the 8x10 print turned out as well as it did!
