whoelius, the Chinese people worship any past persons that have accomplished far more than the average human being. After they die, people worship them as "saints" and the most important thing is not the person but what he or she stood for. This temple is one of the most visited in the city of Taipei (not by the foreign tourists but by the believers). Regards, Davide
