Székelyderzs erődtemplom/Fortfied Unitarian Church
In this village you can see 13th century fortified Unitarian Church, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
The old chapel built in Roman style (13-14th century) was enlarged and rebuilt in late Gothic style
in the second half of the 15th century when it actually got its present form.
The 5 m high castle wall was built after 1521.
Four of the bastions stand on the corners and the fifth one rises at the middle of the western wall.
The fortress was probably finished by the 1630s'.
The inner frescos illustrating the legend of king St. László were painted in 1419.
A templom építése különböző időszakokban történt:
A szentély részét (ahol az orgona van) az 1200-as években, a templomrészt az 1400-as években,
a várfalat és a bástyákat az 1500-as években építették.
A templom tetején látható védelmi emelet a lőrésekkel és a szuroköntőkkel 1605 - Basta Erdély-dúlása
után épült Petky János költségén. A templomerőd építését valószínűleg az 1630-as években fejezték be.
A belső freskók közül a bejárattal szembeni Szent László király harcát örökíti meg a kun vezérrel.
A várfal belső oldalán egykor körfolyosó (gyilokjáró) futott körbe, amelyeken közlekedve védeni
lehetett az erődöt a támadókkal szemben.
Ezeket 1788-ban bontották le, mert a templom elveszítette a védelmi jellegét.
Félnyeregtetős színeket építettek, ahová a falu lakói elhelyezhették ingóságaikat (kelengyésláda, szerszámok),
a beköltöztetett hombárokban, szuszékokban gabonakészletét tarthatta.
A bástyákat szalonna és füstölt hús tárolására tették alkalmassá.
You have put it already , the number 374, Gyurica. I forgot to bold it. I have done it now.If you want you can edit and add some photos to the old post nut not open a new. Thanks, Daniela
I would like to ask for an explanation because I do not understand why were deleted my photos which was taken about Székelyderzs and Énlaka. As I know these are World Heritage sites in Transylvania. vterezia has a similar problem. She put up some photos about Meteora which were also deleted with reference to photos of pateve, but there are not any photos in his collection.
I already have answered to Gyula about Meteora. Please read the rules. Each site can be uploaded only once, due to the number of sites. All double uploads are deleted.Your photos were about Villages with Fortified Churches in Transylvania and have already been uploded by vterezia. If you look at the list the only not uploaded site in Romania is the Monastery of Horezu (1993) and for Hungary the Old Village of Hollókö and its Surroundings (1987). All others sites are already in. Greetings, Daniela
OK! I understand, but I am confused because of I read:
"It is possible to upload multiple shots of a single place that's on the list but they should not be identical photos. Identical photos will be cancelled" What does identical mean in this case?
I have photo about Hollókő, but my photo is very old scan and I think among the hungarian photos it can be found more better than mine. I wait for it.
If you have more photos of a site, or will have later you can edit your old post and add new photos, but not identical to the old, I mean, sometimes a site is about more places or buildings, so if you have new photos it would be better if they are different ones, other frames, or another building, in case of different buidings in a site. I hope I explained it clearly.Greetings, Daniela

Nagyon szép fotó és külön köszönet a remek ismertetőért.

Szervusz Viktor!
Örömmel teszem, pláne ha el is olvassák! Ebben a melegben, ha frissítőt kortyolgatsz erre is gondolj.
Üdv,
GyurIca
Szervusz Gyurica !
Én is örömmel olvastam.
