Thank you for the complement, Hank. This is a state historical site. I was able visit since my daughter was working on an archaeological dig here (she's in a rose-colored shirt in the next photo). The place was inhabited by Native Americans, the Spanish, and later pioneers. Interesting spot. I really liked it for the fact it was the one place in San Diego where I was away from traffic noise.
That's funny because I don't always check map locations in detail, but I did with this photo. When I saw where it was I laughed to myself saying that you probably found the one place in San Diego where there was peace and quiet.
