Thank you both. Bruce the ridge this was taken from is 5.5 miles away from the crater and 1500 feet up from the old valley floor. It was over topped by the avalanche and the boulders you see are parts of the original top of the cone. If you look close in the valley you can get an indication at the river channel, the depth of pumice and ash. It really is had to grasp the scope!
