Paignton Pier circa 1967
Paignton Pier first opened to the public in 1879;
it was designed by George Soudon Bridgman, the local architect who also designed the original Oldway Mansion.

This shot shows just how popular the English seaside used to be!
The title amended to show the date being 1967
Isn't that a lovely scene. Like very much. I will be going on the steam train from Dartmouth to Paignton in September, all being well ;~))
Thanks for your visit I could not have put it better myself!
All the best Peter
