Fine closeup! Greetings, Micky
absolutely agree who. The thumbnail does not do it justice. Blue and brown make a nice combo.
Thanks very much, Micky, Majid and Larry!

Lovely sharp shot, beautiful contrast, best wishes Fai
Thank you, Alex_67, David and Fai :)
I was happy with the way this turned out. I love the logs in Vancouver. They're mostly ones that got blown over and destroyed in the big winds a few winters ago.
Absolutely wonderful "Spanish Banks?", what is this Spanish Banks whoelius? best wishes Andrew
Although the first European explorers in the Strait of Georgia were the Spaniards Juan Carrasco and José María Narváez, who sited Point Grey in 1791, the Spanish Banks were named in commemoration of the meeting of the English under George Vancouver and the Spanish under Galiano and Valdés in June 1792. While Vancouver's maps do not show the banks, Galiano's charts of 1792 and 1795 do. The Hudson's Bay Company came to call the area Spanish Banks for these reasons. The name was bestowed upon them by Captain Richards of the HMS Plumper during his survey of Burrard Inlet in 1859.
I'm glad to see you getting oot and aboot, who. Spanish Banks is one of my favorite beaches, but it's been a while since we were there.
Since you're new around here I've been meaning to share this website with you. It's geared for parents with kids, but the list of places to go and see is great for the photographer as well. Find Family Fun; best of all most of it is free!
Very nice image whoelius,
Wow! Nice shot. David
