Middelburg, Verwerijstraat

Streetview in Middelburg, the town where I grew up. I took this pic with my cell phone, hence the poor quality. I sure will come back here with my DSLR. Middelburg is an old city with many scenes like this one.

Yes, Margot, this is the 'old' Zealand. I told Lisa to go to the small city of Sluis, but if she had some more time, she could go to Middelburg.

I have a Nokia N73 cell phone for nearly two years, not1word. I'd chosen that phone because of the 3.2 Mpix camera. It still is a good buy.

The drop door was rather common in The Netherlands, Ray. It was an easy way to keep your cellar filled with stuff like firewood, stonecoal, food et cetera. You'll see doors like this on many old cityhouses all over the land.

Aha! Jij verraadt dat je ook al 40+ bent! Toen ik in Middelburg woonde vond ik de stad niet bijzonder, sinds ik er weg ben vind ik de stad prachtig! Helaas had ik op dit onverwachte wandelingetje geen enkele camera bij me :>(

Compliment Norrel voor dit doorkijkje, zou je niet zeggen dat hij met een GSM genomen is.
