Dear Rory Brett,
I am glad that you have seen Matt Clara's photo as well. If you do locate the other image somewhere, I'd be interested to see it. There are quite a range of possible images to capture in this vicinity, some of wilderness like this and others of fascinating settlements and isolated churches, and farmhouses.
Kind regards,
Ian

Its definitely the same spot. the book's called connemara: land of contrasts.

Were the weather and clouds the same, Rory?
I feel proud that I saw this for myself if the locals see this spot as worth promoting. There is no tourist sign or facility here that says "Stop here and take a photograph because we locals think it is quite special".
We will have to see whether any of my other Connemara photos are matched in the Connemara: Land of Contrasts" book.
Thanks for locating the image you remembered.
Sincerely,
Ian

Well bring the camera anyway. I'll make sure to check your photos later! All I can do is hope, hope and hope again for the weather. Hoping for change in Ireland, Rory.

Hello Ian.Wonderful shot.So beautiful. I was in Ireland in 1984 and went through Galway.I saw some of Hazel's photos from Ireland and they were from place I had been to, places like Muckross Garden.Hazel has also directed me to this photo, in the chance that I might also remmeber some of these places too.I am bit tied now,so I will probully go to bed, but some time tomorrow I want to have a good look at your gallery Ian.Best regards, from, David. Dear David, Hazel and Rory,
Thanks Rory for organizing some wonderfully fine weather for Hazel's visit to The Connemara!! And thanks Hazel for the uploads of images from the Connemara. It enables us all to relive our own memories of a fascinating and different landscape.
And David, I trust that you enjoy my gallery, perhaps it might be best to start with the Ireland tag. This particular photo records a very special stop that we made to thoroughly soak in the peacefulness.
Warm greetings come from Tonga right now.
Ian
