Hi Anette

There is a magnificent bleakness about this and a lot of the other photographs you have posted from the Shetland Isles. They demonstrate that the Shetland Isles need our protection as much as the Antarctic or Arctic does. If we do not protect them they will soon be gone and another piece of our heritage will be lost.

You are right Steven nature there is in danger as everywhere else in the world. But despite the petroleum they've got up there and the overfishing of the north sea the wildlife on the Shetlands is still very rich and plentyful. People are very aware of what they've got there and large parts of the islands are nature reserves.

Best regards, Anette

Very nice composition, Anette! You did know you should put the viewfinder in upright position to highlight how steep the cliff is. The more I see Shetland through your lens, the more I feel impressive.

Best wishes to Germany ~ w☺rap☺ng

Thank you for a lovely picture Anette - these cliffs are high and very impressively photographed. Well done.

I see you are also having trouble with an incomplete photo, here. Zoomed - it is perfect. I have the same problem with one of mine. I hope they can fix it so that we can just correct the photo without losing or re-copying all the comments.

Warmest wishes from Cape Town, Hazel

Thank you very much for your sympathy for this sadly broken picture Hazel. I'm happy you like it nevertheless and sorry to hear you have the same problem with one of yours. As you've probably seen I placed a question in the forum but there's no answer yet. I still haven't lost hope though there will be a solution to this problem finally. I really wouldn't like to take the picture out of its context above all.

My best wishes to you, Anette
