Fascinating structure, Snemann. It is also interesting that it appears low to the ground and pretty far from the shipping channels so it must have been most useful to sailors who knew the waters and the coastline pretty well. Is that true?

Hi Han. From what I can gather from the charts for tghis area, I believe that this light is mainly meant for close to shore guidance, as the waters here are shallow and difficult to navigate.

This area has a very long traditon of fisheries.

This is not too dissimilar to the "newer" inshore lighthouses in south Norway Snemann, except of course, the building materials are different.
